WWYD?

What would you do?? I ordered the diaper bag online at Pottery Barn Baby this week-end and had it monogramed. Problem: You're supposed to type the initials EXACTLY how you want them to appear, not their actual initials. Would be nice if they clarified that on their website so I didn't have a bag that looks like this:

(And I wouldn't have had a complete break-down while on the phone with Tony telling him what happened...seriously, these hormones keep getting worse, and I'm starting to feel REALLY bad for Tony!) As you fully realize, her initials are MNG, not MGN as this monogram would have you believe. So here's the question, would you just use this one or would you order a new one that is correct? I can't send it back, since it was "an error on my end" (as told to me by the Pottery Barn Customer Service Rep I talked to tonight)...I need some advice...please weigh in!

31 weeks

Well I guess technically the picture is 31 weeks and 1 day, but seriously...not much to report this week. And I look horrible in these pictures...I had a rough evening and had a complete hormonal break-down (for another post) before taking these pictures, so my eyes are all red and puffy from crying...but love me and my red face still!

She's been quite active the last week...we are really going to have a squirmy baby!! We go next Tuesday for the second 3d u/s. I hope she's this active for it!!

Madison and Daddy's song

I don't know if I'm allowed to be the one to pick a song for Tony and Madison, but I'm doing it, so there! The first time I heard this song, I couldn't stop myself from crying. All I could think about was how great of a dad Tony is going to be. It absolutely warms my heart to know that God has blessed me with such an amazing man to be the father to my children!

7.22.2008

Yeah, I know...I'm not supposed to buy more clothes!

I couldn't help this one...I was at Wal-Mart tonight after work, and couldn't pass this up!
She already has three jerseys, but they're all 12 months. I had to get something for this season! Have to support our boys in BLUE!!! :-)

3/4 of the way done! WOW!

Today marks 30 weeks...in 7 weeks (or 8 depending on what book you read!) I will be "full-term" It's almost unreal! The nursery is starting to come together. Even with the messed up side, Tony put the crib together just so I could see the room all put together. He even took the dresser/changer up by himself! I'm so glad I wasn't there to witness that!! (so is he!) I would have been freaking out the entire time, which surely would have made things worse!

Her crib with all her stuffed animals...we don't have her bedding yet, but Tony wanted something in there so it didn't look so bare!

Tony had the week-end off, so we did some shopping Saturday, and got a couple more things for Miss Madison. I try not to buy clothes for her (his sister is giving us some of Sarah's old clothes, and we're getting a ton from a friend of my mom), but I can't help it! We went to Kirkland's where Tony found a cute pillow with an "M" embroidered on it, and an "M" to put on the wall.

The pillowThe "M" for the wall behind her crib

I had already bought one at Michael's but I would have had to paint it, and I like the one he found better anyway! Then we went to Build-A-Bear and made a bear for her.

"Olivia", the bear we made for her
The stuffing machine was broken, so I had to hand stuff it, which I thought made it even more special! Tony handled the picking out of the outfit while I stuffed. I wish we could find one like it for Maddie...it's so cute!

Tony had vowed that he wouldn't go into Motherhood Maternity while I was pregnant, but I won on Saturday! He wanted Starbucks, and there's a Motherhood two doors down from the one we went to, so I went in there while he got his coffee. I didn't really want to buy anymore maternity clothes, but I was getting extremely bored with what I had! I felt like I was wearing the same thing every week. I got a new dress, a shirt, and an outfit. The good thing with the dress is I should be able to wear it after she's born, and it was only $15! I have the new outfit on in this week's picture.

Are you kidding me?!

I just read that the hospital I'm delivering at only allows for two "support" people during delivery. Umm, I'm sorry, that doesn't really work for me. Of course Tony will be in there, but I want my mom, too. And not only is it unfair to Tony and his mom for her not to be able to be in there...I want her in there. You can have three during labor, but only two during delivery. I understand if there are complications you don't want a lot of people in there, but that's when you just ask them to leave. I wonder if there is any way around this...

I can't even express how upset I am right now about this! This isn't the 1900's where the dad waits in the waiting room while mom pushes the baby out with no one but doctors around! If I had known this in advanced, I may have tried to find a doctor that delivered elsewhere...somewhere that allowed me to have at least 3 "support" people...ARGH! I'M SO MAD!!!!!!

29 weeks...

Today marks Week 29 on this wonderful journey we call pregnancy! It's so exciting that we will get to hold Madison in less than 3 months!! I feel extra big everyday, but am loving this prego belly!

We tried to put Maddie's crib together this weekend...this is as far as we got:Cool, huh?! The hole on the bottom of the left side was missing the "guide" for the screw to go into. This in turn caused me to have my first real "pregnancy induced" breakdown. I was so upset that I laid on the floor crying that we couldn't put her crib together. Silly, I know!! Tony was nice during my small breakdown, but definitely didn't have any pity on me!! :-) I called Customer Service Monday morning, and we should have a new piece in a week or two. Problem solved!! I'm just a little bummed because I thought we were going to have her room pretty much put together (furniture wise) this weekend. Mom and Andrew are going on a cruise next week and they're coming down this weekend so we can take them to the airport. Andrew is going to help Tony take the dresser/changer upstairs, so I was hoping for all the furniture to be where I want it. Oh well! This is the first real "bump" we've hit, so I guess we should count ourselves lucky!!

I know I posted earlier about Kim helping me tape the stripes for the main wall in Madison's room. Tony painted them, and they look awesome!! The funny thing is, with the pink next to it, the cream now looks green. Oh well, I was playing with the idea of using pink, brown, cream, and green, so I guess the "green" stripes fit in!

We get to see our beautiful daughter again in three weeks!!!!! I booked the second 3D ultrasound for Tuesday, August 5! Hopefully she won't have her legs up this time so we can see her little face better!

3D Ultrasound!!

Finally got our confirmation that Madison is in fact Madison! :-)

Her little mouth open. If I remember correctly, this was right after a big yawn!
She's breech right now, with both legs up by her head...flexible child!
A little smile for mommy and daddy!

Holding her foot up with her little hand...check out those long fingers!
Her eye is open in this one!
The umbilical cord was over her lip so she looks like she has a mustach in this one!!
I'm so glad we did this!! It was amazing the see all the little details!! We're going to try to go back sometime in the 32-34 week range to get more, and hopefully a little better pictures of her face. She was very determined she was not going to mover her legs or her arms!! Sorry this post was so pic heavy! I couldn't decide which ones to post so I just posted them all!! :-)

Happy Birthday Zoey!!

Miss Zoey is 3 years old today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my "little" baby!

The birthday treats!!

we have arrived in the third trimester!

We're definitely in the home stretch now! Only 12 weeks (or so) until Miss Madison debuts! I can't believe how fast it's gone. I feel like we're no where NEAR ready! One of my best friends, Kim came over last Wednesday and helped (read: did all the work!) me tape the wall for the stripes. Tony painted the pink this weekend, and it looks really good! I'll post a picture once we take the tape down...there's a couple of stripes that need another coat. We're planning on putting her crib together this weekend, moving the chair and ottoman up, and getting the dresser/changing table up to her room in a couple weeks when my brother's in town to help Tony carry it upstairs. Soon her room will look like a nursery!

This Saturday is our 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see the little peanut again! I hope she cooperates and gives us some good pictures of her little face!! I'll be sure to post them when we get home!

And of course, the weekly belly pic:

I've had this dress for probably close to 3-4 years now. I'm not sure how I feel that I can get it zipped when I'm 28 weeks pregnant. It really wasn't too big when I wore it before. I guess 30 pounds is a lot more than I thought! Glad I lost those before I got pregnant!!

2 updates

I uploaded pics from our Chicago trip, and the weekly belly pic below...

Well good for you!

Dear "I'm better than you" in accounting,
That is very neat that you completely cut caffeine out of your diet after once drinking 6 Mountain Dews a day. That is a noble accomplishment. However, don't even try to make me feel bad for still having a pop (with caffeine! The horror!) with my lunch everyday even though I'm pregnant. If you're talking 6 cans, that's only 72 ounces, and I can guarantee I used to drink more caffeine than that in a day, so I think I'm doing pretty well having cut it down to one medium sized soda at lunch. Don't tell me 2-3 cans a day is too much when my doctor already told me it was fine. I think I will listen more to my doctor than to your annoying nasally voice. Thank you for your "concern" but it's really not needed, nor wanted.
Sincerely,
Me

27 Weeks already!!

I know I say this almost every week, but seriously (!) I can't believe we're this far along already! Somedays I feel like I'm going to run out of time! Tony finished painting the cream on the walls today, and tomorrow Kim is coming over to help me tape off the stripes on the one wall. I just can't even fathom how much fun that is going to be! HA.HA. At least I won't be doing it by myself, though!
According to some sites, I am in the third trimester now. WHOA! I've noticed more and more each day, well night especially, how heavy by belly feels. I hadn't really felt any different before, but for the past couple weeks, I've been suprised by how it feels! Makes a little nervous for the 13 weeks we have left to go!
I'm finally starting to actually like my baby bump (well not so sure it can be called a "bump" anymore!) now. I've been a little apprehensive about the expanding, but now I'm realizing how amazing it really is! I was so worried about getting back to pre-pregnancy body ASAP after delivery, I wasn't embracing the wonderful "figure" God has blessed me with until September! I lost the weight once, I can and will do it again! So in celebration of the beautiful prego body:
